Yankees' Wild Card hopes take hit in Toronto

TORONTO -- The Blue Jays bolstered their own pursuit of a postseason spot, while dealing the Yankees another blow in their hunt for an American League Wild Card berth, in a walk-off 4-3 win on Sunday at Rogers Centre.

Toronto maintained a 1 1/2-game lead over Baltimore for the top AL Wild Card spot, while the Yankees dropped 5 1/2 games behind the Orioles with seven games remaining.

Jose Bautista's second RBI of the game, an eighth-inning, two-out single put the Blue Jays on top, and after the Yankees rallied for two runs off Toronto closer Roberto Osuna in the ninth, the Blue Jays answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning for the victory, the game-winner coming on Edwin Encarnacion's RBI single.
