Yankees show off Rob Refsnyder to interested team

TAMPA — The Rays have interest in Rob Refsnyder, whom the Yankees are open to shopping.

Against Tampa on Sunday, the Yankees inserted Refsnyder in the fifth inning to play left. He moved to right an inning later.

At bat, Refsnyder went 1-for-1 with a double and drew a walk.

The Yankees may need to make room on the 40-man roster for shortstop Pete Kozma if he makes the team. Moving Refsnyder would create that space.

Chad Green, who remains a rotation candidate, worked four innings for Single-A Tampa against Bradenton on Sunday. He allowed three earned runs, four hits, walked one and whiffed eight.
