Fan who died after falling from upper deck is identified

ATLANTA - A fan fell from the upper deck at Turner Field during the seventh inning of Saturday's Yankees-Braves game, sending fans sitting in the blood-spattered field-level section below scurrying for safety.

The body appeared to make contact with a wire connected to the screen behind home plate, shaking the entire screen and all of the attached wires before landing on the stairway by the third row of Section 101. Fans in the field level section began fleeing from the scene immediately, some wanting to get away from the injured fan while others tried to shield children from witnessing the scene.
