BREAKING: Yankees sign OF/DH Matt Holliday to one-year deal

The Yankees have been in the market for a makeshift designated hitter this winter, and it appears they’ve officially found one.

According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Yankees have signed free agent designated hitter and outfielder Matt Holliday to a one-year, $13 million deal.

Holliday, who turns 37 in January, hit .246 with 20 home runs and 62 RBI in 110 games with the St. Louis Cardinals last season.
