Yankees News: John Sterling creates home run calls for new players

In Yankees news today, legendary New York Yankees broadcaster John Sterling has come up with a bushel of new home run calls for all the new faces on the team's roster this year.

Per John Healy of the New York Daily News, MLB.com has compiled a montage of John Sterling's new home run signature for each player. You can watch them here.

In Healy's words, "Sterling not only breaks out in song for Yangervis Solarte, but also Brian McCann, singing "McCann McCann" to the tune of "Can Can," which you may know from the ShopRite commercials, or Jacques Offenbach, if you're a classical music buff. He even dabbles in some spanish on a Carlos Beltran home run, saying "un correazo by Beltran!" Which translates into "a belting, by Beltran!"'

Sterling's announcing style has been polarizing over the years, with some purists still irritated with the levity that he adds to his broadcasting technique.

However, Sterling is an undeniable legend who is still adding to his repertoire as the years go by.
