Yankees News: Dodgers join New York in "serious pursuit" of free agent Andrew Miller

ESPN's Buster Olney reported early on Monday that the New York Yankees are in "serious pursuit" of free-agent reliever Andrew Miller. Later in the day, Olney added one more team to that list.

According to Olney, the Los Angeles Dodgers join the New York Yankees in the race to land the coveted lefty:

Although the Houston Astros are also said to be taking a run at Miller, it appears this race may come down to two mega-market teams situated on opposite coasts.

By signing Miller, the New York Yankees could very well have a 7-8-9 combination of Dellin Betances, Miller, and David Robertson - provided the Yankees can re-sign Robertson. If they can't but do land Miller, they could easily position the veteran as their closer going into 2015.
