Yankees News: CC Sabathia gives an update on his injured knee

New York Yankees veteran starting pitcher CC Sabathia has been limited to playing catch at his New Jersey-area home as he rehabs his injured right knee, but the real test will be his scheduled bullpen sessions later this month.

Regardless of the fact that he's making slow progress, Sabathia isn't willing to make any bold predictions just yet.

“Just to be healthy,” Sabathia said when asked what his expectations of the 2015 season are.

Sabathia isn't looking to set innings goals or any other parameters on what would constitute a successful season.

“No, just health,” Sabathia said. “If I’m healthy, I’m sure all that other stuff will take care of itself.”

Heading to Spring Training, there will be plenty of new faces for Sabathia to get to know, including shortstop Didi Gregorius and Andrew Miller, along with the returns of Stephen Drew and Chase Headley.

“I’m excited about Chase and I like the Stephen Drew and Andrew Miller signings,” Sabathia said, obviously excited to get back to work with the guys.
