Yankees Insider: Ivan Nova says he feels super after fatigue

ARLINGTON, Tex. — One day after leaving his start with arm fatigue, Ivan Nova was all smiles, saying he expects to make his scheduled start on Sunday in Chicago.

“I’m not hurt or anything like that, so there isn’t any reason to think that I’m not going to pitch,” Nova said. “It was something that happened during the game last night, but today is a normal day for me. I feel good.”

Nova allowed two runs over five innings, throwing only 75 pitches before Joe Girardi lifted him from the game. Girardi said after the game Nova was dealing with some fatigue in his triceps area, and given that he was making his sixth start since returning from Tommy John surgery, the Yankees were being careful with the 28-year-old.
