ARLINGTON, Texas -- In a game crying out for pitching, Diego Moreno came to the rescue.

The 28-year-old Venezuelan right-hander, who joined the Yankees from Triple-A earlier in the day, worked 5 1/3 innings of hitless relief, walking one and striking out five, in a 21-5 New York Yankees victory over the Texas Rangers Tuesday night at Globe Life Park.
