The New York Yankees lineup took a hit today, as they learned they will be without outfielder Carlos Beltran for the foreseeable future.
Beltran left the Yankees contest against the Los Angeles Angles on Tuesday with an apparent injury. He left during the fifth inning, as he aggravated a previous injury to his left rib cage. Beltran had hoped that the injury wasn’t too serious and that he would be able to avoid the DL, but it turns out he needs more time to heal.
Obviously, Beltran missing at least the next 15 days is a huge blow to the Yankees lineup.
