“I know I need to be better,” Rick Nash has said so many times. He wasn’t spouting lip service, in my opinion. He honestly knew he had not met expectations. He wanted to do more. But he failed to do more.
And now, after this season of so much individual and collective disappointment, if not failure, it might be time for the Rangers and Nash to part ways. It hasn’t worked, Nash gave the Rangers one fabulous season out (42 goals in 2013-14) of four, gave them a decent (21 goals in 44 games) lockout season.
