New York Rangers Take Ottawa For Granted, Leave Lundqvist Out to Dry

The New York Rangers didn’t take this Senators team as seriously as they should have in Game 1. However, Henrik Lundqvist surely did. His play was the story of the night. Unfortunately, a bad second goal with under five minutes in the third made the Senators take the lead and a 1-0 series lead.

In the first period alone, Lundqvist made 21 saves. That’s a playoff career high for him. That’s an amount that could be seen through two periods or even three in a tight game. It was the New York Rangers’ fault for making him stand on his head in that period.
