The Rangers have had a pretty good offseason up till now. Unfortunately, the signing of Mika Zibanejad to a new deal has not gone as well as both sides would have liked.
The 24-year-old, a first-round draft pick of the Ottawa Senators in 2011 was traded to the Rangers for center Derick Brassard last year. Zibanejad is currently a restricted free agent and filed for salary arbitration in the beginning of July.
Larry Brooks of the New York Post recently took a look at some comparable players and their salaries to try and figure out what Zibanejad could be awarded.
