New York Rangers’ NHL Ranking: Previewing 12th Columbus Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets are coming off one of the more surprising 2016-2017 campaigns. They went 50-24-8, which was good for 108 points and third in the Metropolitan Division. The Jackets also boasted a +54 goal differential, which was good for third in the league behind the Minnesota Wild and Washington Capitals. They finished one spot ahead of the New York Rangers in the Metropolitan Division.

The Blue Jackets proved last season that they can battle with the best. Originally believed to be the worst of the Metropolitan Division, head coach John Tortorella pushed his team into shape.
