As the 12-year veteran prepares to begin his 13th season as the Rangers top goalie, Lundqvist told Roberta Nass of Watch Journal that he is not near the end of his career.
“I intend to stay on the ice as long as I can—I still have some great hockey left in me and I love the sport immensely, so the end is not near just yet.”
He doesn’t run from the fact that he’s getting older, he’s embraced it—and learned how to adjust in his preparation as a result.
“I think my time is more valuable to me now than it was when I was younger.
