The Rangers announced this afternoon that center Kevin Hayes underwent a MRI and is out for the next two to three weeks with a lower-body injury.

Hayes was hurt in the second period of Sunday’s overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings and missed the rest of the game. On the season, the Dorchester, Mass. native has 13 goals, and 22 assists for 35 points on the season.
