Amid a busy opening day for the New York Rangers, the team added left winger Viktor Stalberg among it free agents to sign for next season.

Stalberg was placed on unconditional waivers by the Nashville Predators this past Monday.
The New York Rangers have signed Viktor Stalberg to a one-year, $1.1 million contract.

Fresh off a Stanley Cup championship with the Chicago Blackhawks after the 2012-2013 season, Stalberg signed a four year contract worth $12 million with the Predators.
