Mets slugger Yoenis Cespedes was pulled from Thursday afternoon’s game against the Braves, limping off the field with a grimace while clearly favoring his left leg.
He has a left hamstring pull, according to the team.
The injury happened on a leadoff double in the fourth inning, and Cespedes pulled up lame going into second base.
Cespedes, signed to a four-year, $110 million contract this offseason, had missed a weekend sweep at the hands of the Nationals due to a left hamstring strain before returning to the lineup Wednesday night.
Earlier Thursday, the Mets scratched ace Noah Syndergaard from his scheduled start due to discomfort in his right biceps/shoulder area.
