Mets pocket World Series share of $300,757.78

The Mets got a little something to help them get over their World Series loss to the Royals. MLB announced Monday that the share of the players' postseason pool for the Mets, who lost in the World Series, was $300,757.78. The World Champion Royals' shares were valued at $370,069.03 each.

The Mets gave out 44 full shares a total of 11.05 partial shares and 25 cash awards from a pool of $16,771,715.82.

The postseason player's pool comes from 50 percent of the gate receipts from the Wild Card Games; 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first three games of the Division Series; 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the League Championship Series; and 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the World Series.
