Mets’ Josh Edgin nearing return from Tommy John surgery

Mets left-handed reliever Josh Edgin is nearly ready to return from Tommy John surgery, and the team has until Sunday to either add him to the active roster or remove him from his rehab assignment and option him to Las Vegas.

Edgin, 29, underwent Tommy John surgery late during Spring Training last season and has remained on track during the recovery process.
