Harvey deals with dehydration during Mets’ win over Phillies

Matt Harvey felt weakness and experienced what the Mets said was dehydration during his start Wednesday night. The right-hander pitched 6.1 innings and picked up his 12th win of the season despite struggling through a hot and humid night in the Mets' 9-4 win over the Phillies at Citi Field.

Harvey was in the training room an hour after the game and a team spokesman said he would not do his usual post-game press availability because he was "weak and experienced dehydration."

The Mets said Harvey was attended to by team physical therapists and not examined by a doctor.
