Reyes Exits Early With Apparent Hamstring Injury

All-Star shortstop Jose Reyes was lifted for pinch-hitter Willie Harris in the bottom of the 2nd inning in today's Mets afternoon game against the Braves.

The SNY telecast is reporting that Reyes was experiencing stiffness in his left hamstring.  Reyes was placed on the 15-day DL earlier this season because of a strain he suffered on the same hamstring while running out a ground ball during the subway series.

Coming into today's game, Reyes was leading the National League in hitting, triples, and runs scored.  He was also 2nd in the NL in stolen bases, behind Atlanta's Michael Bourn.

He was replaced defensively by Justin Turner in the top of the 3rd inning. Willie Harris stayed in to play second base.
