Michael Conforto Sent to Minors

Just before Saturday night’s game, the Mets sent Michael Conforto to Las Vegas to make room for Yoenis Cespedes.

Conforto started with a splash, going 4-4 in his second game. However, they were the only hits he would collect in six games. He batted just .211 with three RBIs, three walks and five strikeouts.

It is a bit disappointing because Michael Conforto is the most promising hitter to make his way through the Mets system since David Wright, and that was eleven years ago. So to see him struggle and have to be sent back to the minors is disheartening.
