Phil Jackson’s the boss: It’s time he starts acting like one

Let’s take Phil Jackson at his word. Let’s say he really does believe Carmelo Anthony spends too much time dribbling the basketball. Let’s say he really is concerned the offense tends to come to a screeching halt whenever Melo goes iso, and it affects the rest of the team badly.

You know what?

Jackson is entitled to feel that way. He’s the boss. He won 11 championships as a head coach, two more as a player, he has a deeper understanding for what championship basketball looks like than anyone. He may have coached more talented teams than anyone, but he also forced those teams, and the stars fortifying them, to bend to his will when necessary.
