Early Wednesday morning, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported that the New York Knicks were weighing the future of Phil Jackson. While it was an exciting update, it immediately escalated to the fact that they were going to part ways.
The Knicks released an official update on the matter shortly after it was reported.
There’s no doubt that the move was made due to Jackson’s failure to create healthy relationships, as well as his inability to lure prominent free agents to New York.
In turn, this move was the right move to make—it just came at the wrong time.
