Knicks docs monitoring Derrick Rose for signs of trial ‘stress’

The Knicks medical staff isn’t just worried about Derrick Rose’s knees. On the eve of Rose’s Knicks debut, doctors were more concerned about his heart and stress levels following a two-plus-week civil sexual assault trial.

Rose said he was advised by the Knicks’ medical director, Lisa Callahan, not to overexert himself in the beginning stages of his return. Rose participated in his third practice Monday since he was cleared last Wednesday of sexual battery, battery and trespass claims in the $21.5 million lawsuit brought by a former girlfriend who accused him and two pals of gang rape.
