Knicks rookie wonder Kristaps Porzingis told The Post that turkey is rarely eaten in Latvia, not normally served as a meal. So he was looking forward to a treat Thursday at his White Plains apartment when his mother, a noted cook, was preparing a family feast.
The Post reported last week Porzingis’ parents, Talis and Ingrida, have been living with Porzingis in Westchester County since training camp and will be with him until mid-December, when their visas expire. They won’t be around for Christmas but were for Thanksgiving, which is not recognized in Latvia.
Unaware of the holiday, the 7-foot-3 Latvian was at a Spanish League practice with Sevilla last Thanksgiving.
