Knicks News: Mike Woodson uninterested in meeting with Phil Jackson

In Knicks news today, New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson is uninterested in meeting with team president Phil Jackson until his job status with the team has been clarified.

So reports Ian Begley of ESPN.com, who quotes an NBA source as saying "he just wants to know one way or the other," in regard to Woodson's feelings on his job security with the Knicks.

"I think it's been enough said about my job all year with you guys," Woodson said in an interview on Wednesday. "Hopefully, soon I'll know my destination in terms of where I'm going to be."

Per Begley, on Friday ESPN's Stephen A. Smith stated that Woodson would rather Jackson work with his agent "if he's going to fire him rather than having a face-to-face meeting to inform him that he's being let go."

At the current moment, there has been no reported meeting between the two parties -- nor has there been any confirmation of a phone conversation between Woodson and Jackson, as the New York Daily News reported was to happen on Friday.
