Knicks News: Carmelo Anthony hurt by missing playoffs, won't talk about future

Carmelo Anthony and Knicks news go hand-in-hand, and when the New York Knicks fail to perform, Anthony takes it about as personally as anyone else on the roster.

Per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPNNewYork.com, Carmelo Anthony is having a really hard time dealing with the fact that his New York Knicks will be missing the playoffs in 2013-14:

“There’s so much going on right now,” Anthony states in the article. “Me never being in this situation before, not knowing how to feel or what to feel right now. It’s going to take a minute for me to kind of decompress and kind of come back down to earth a little bit.”

"It was a tough night," the Knicks superstar said in regard to Saturday's elimination of the New York Knicks from playoff contention.

When asked about his future with the Knicks and a possible venture into free agency, Anthony stated that the sting of missing the playoffs superseded any thoughts about his future -- “I’m telling you, it’s hard for me to even think about that,” Anthony said, clearly distressed about his season ending early. “Everything for me is just cloudy. I’ve never been in the situation before."

"I don’t know what to say about this situation."
