When it became clear in the summer of 2010 that LeBron James was placing his faith in Pat Riley and not James Dolan, the Knicks dispatched their secret weapon to Ohio in a last ditch attempt to bring the King to New York. Isiah Thomas, of course, never stood a chance since James was committed to taking his talents to South Beach.
Thomas, though, emerged as something of a winner because this was step one — a very public step in fact — toward bringing his talents, and all that comes with them, back to Madison Square Garden.
