The New York Knicks are 2-1 to start the 2014-15 NBA season, riding a wave of defensive energy to wins over the Cleveland Cavs and Charlotte Hornets.

“I knew it was different the first day we stepped into training camp,” Knicks star Carmelo Anthony said of the feeling around the team, via the New York Post. “Just the culture and the atmosphere that’s here. The mindsets of people — not just the players, but the coaches and the staff. How positive everybody was."

Rumors of unrest caused by former Knicks, Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler, last season will also likely be stoked by Anthony's next proclamation.

“There’s no bad energy flowing through our team, the organization right now," Anthony said. "That’s always a big key when you have that kind of atmosphere around.”

Whatever it is that is happening in New York, new head coach Derek Fisher seems to have a group of men ready to prove the doubters wrong both for the fans and for themselves.
