BREAKING: Derek Fisher To Be Named Knicks Head Coach

According to Yahoo NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the New York Knicks have reached a deal with Derek Fisher that will see Fisher become the team's next head coach.

Fisher, who played last season for the Oklahoma City Thunder, will join Brooklyn's Jason Kidd on the list of point guards who made the leap directly from playing to coaching. Kidd had a rough start to the season, but rebounded on his way to a 44-38 record.

In a move that might ruffle some feathers at Madison Square Garden, Fisher will look to beef up his coaching staff with a number of former Lakers:
