This Week 3 locker-room fight was just the start of Jets’ demise

Emotions have been running high in the Jets’ locker room for weeks as the team’s season has fallen apart, and apparently those emotions boiled over last month in Kansas City.

Jets stars Brandon Marshall and Sheldon Richardson had a verbal altercation after the team’s 24-3 Week 3 loss to the Chiefs, a source confirmed. A second source said the two first had words at halftime then it resumed in the postgame locker room. ESPN.com first reported the postgame altercation, and coach Todd Bowles told the website it did not get physical.

“I took care of it right there,” Bowles told ESPN.
