The Ryan Fitzpatrick contract standoff is over, and now the lingering question is this: How will the Jets fit him under their 2016 salary cap?
First off, let's point out that this won't be too difficult, even with Fitzpatrick taking up $12 million of cap space with his one-year contract.
Now, the numbers.
The Jets are also finally signing their first-round draft pick, inside linebacker Darron Lee, who will have a $1.858 million salary cap figure in 2016.
According to NFLPA records, the Jets currently have $9.126 million in cap space.
