Jets must ‘play perfect football’ to compete with Seahawks

Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is coming off his worst performance as a pro. No. 2 wide receiver Eric Decker may not play because of a shoulder injury. The Jets produced just three points last Sunday against the Chiefs. And now here comes the Seahawks’ top-rated defense storming into MetLife Stadium for a Sunday showdown.

These factors aren’t exactly tipping in the Jets’ favor. Sputtering offenses rarely get healthy against Seattle, but that is the difficult situation the Jets face as they try to get back to .500.

“You have to play perfect football,” running back Matt Forte said on Thursday following practice.
