Jets expect David Harris (shoulder) to be ready for Week 1, per report

Jets middle linebacker David Harris, one of the team's most important players, sustained a shoulder injury in Saturday night's Week 3 preseason game against the Giants.

But after Harris underwent further tests Sunday, including an MRI, the Jets expect him to be ready for the Sept. 11 regular season opener against the Bengals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This is great news for the Jets, who can ill afford to lose Harris.

The exact nature of his shoulder injury remains unclear. He was injured on the final defensive snap of Saturday's first half, and did not return to the game.
