Jets' David Harris injures shoulder vs. Giants, won't return to game

EAST RUTHERFORD — The Jets' defense took a hit Saturday night.

With nine seconds remaining in the first half of the Jets' preseason matchup with the Giants, linebacker David Harris suffered a shoulder injury. He was helped off the field by trainers and immediately escorted back to the locker room.

In the third quarter, the Jets announced Harris would not return to the game. The severity of Harris' injury is not yet known. Head coach Todd Bowles will address the media after the game.

Harris, who is entering his 10th NFL season, had played every snap on defense in the first half.
