Can forgotten Jace Amaro make Jets tight ends relevant?

By Jace Amaro’s count, Jets tight ends caught seven passes in Wednesday’s OTA practice. That would be one less than that group caught in the entire season last year.

Amaro was not part of that storied group, which snagged a league-low eight catches. He missed the entire season after undergoing shoulder surgery in August. Now, he is back and hoping to play a starring role.

“I plan on getting involved a lot this season,” Amaro said. “It takes a lot of practice, a lot of reps doing the right things and getting open. I think that’s one of the things I can do extremely well.
