Richardson Gets Defensive, Tells Unhappy Jets Fans To Worry About Themselves

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Jets stars Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson were no-shows at the team’s OTAs this week.

OTAs are voluntary, but it always makes headlines when big-name players aren’t in attendance. As for Wilkerson, it was clear why he didn’t participate. The defensive lineman is looking for a new contract.

Richardson, however, just doesn’t want to be there. The Pro Bowl lineman made that clear with a pair of tweets on Friday morning, and he got a bit defensive in doing so.

Memo to Jets fans: I can do what I want, and not taking part in OTAs will not affect my performance on the field.
