3 Most Overrated New York Jets Players In 2015

The New York Jets fired Rex Ryan and are hoping Todd Bowles can guide the Jets back to the postseason for the first time since 2010. Bowles' roster has some talent, aside from quarterback, but the Jets do have some overrated players. Here are the Jets three most overrated players in 2015.

Quinton Coples

Coples recorded 6.5 sacks last season, but he has yet to be the player the Jets thought they were getting when they took him in the first round a few seasons ago. According to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), Coples was 40th among all 3-4 outside linebackers. He can still improve, but the Jets need him to take the next step this season. Right now, Coples isn't an ideal starter.

Buster Skrine

Skrine had a rough year for the Browns last season. Pro Football Focus had him ranked 82nd among all corners. He finished behind four other Jets corners, including the man Skrine should replace, Kyle Wilson.

Brandon Marshall

Marshall simply isn't the player he once was. It's why the Bears were willing to part with him for only a late draft pick. Marshall is one of the league's better blocking WRs, but is only average elsewhere. According to Pro Football Focus, Marshall ranked 46th when only rating the passing game. Finishing ahead of Marshall was Percy Harvin. Going from Jay Cutler to Geno Smith/Ryan Fitzpatrick won't help.
