Steve Bernier with his sixteen goals needs to play at this level, along with Petrov, and a lot of players in Bridgeport with some NHL potential, not Eric Boulton who takes up a roster spot as long as he is not on IR.
No, a team cannot IR a player unless he is injured. Boulton can be placed on waivers to be sent to Bridgeport, but that team is packed with AHL veterans already.
