Hockey is finally back. Sure, the World Cup of Hockey is still happening. But that’s an exhibition tournament that doesn’t really mean much yet. With that being said tonight’s pre-season game between the New York Islanders and the Philadelphia Flyers means about as much, at least to some.
For others, this game is our fist chance to see some of our much-touted prospects put on a show. Prospects like Michael Dal Colle, Joshua Ho-Sang, and Mathew Barzal.
All three feature in a youthful lineup to start the pre-season. Which to be fair isn’t unusual. This is the perfect opportunity for management to get a look at what they’ve actually got in their system.
