The Islanders have done nothing to help themselves in the past four home games.
They are 0-3-1 in their last four home games and are coming off a debilitating loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday. As has been the mantra for the every game since ascending six spots in the standings, these are points that cannot be surrendered.
They now sit two points behind Boston, three behind Toronto (whom were defeated 5-2 on Saturday, helping the Isles once more) and just one point separated from the looming Tampa Bay Lightning.
