The New York Islanders prospect pool is deep. There isn’t a question about it. From Linus Soderstrom in the crease to Parker Wotherspoon on defense and Kieffer Bellows up top. The Isles have some great kids coming through the system. But neither of them are going to likely make the 2017-18 rosters.
Going into the 2017-18 NHL season, the New York Islanders active roster (or 23-man roster) is far from set.
If you look at the team using their Cap Friendly page, the active roster is three men short. With only 21 names currently on the list.
