Islanders vs. Flyers: Two flawed ships...

The Philadelphia Flyers returned from their bye week to continue a slumping trend that has them dropping from the dominant Metropolitan Divisions gang of five and falling even out of the wild card spots after last night’s loss to the New Jersey Devils.

They’ve lost five of six, won just two of their last 10 and three of their last 15, and visit New York tonight while on a three-game losing streak.

The New York Islanders are still in last place in the Eastern Conference, though thanks to a three-game win streak they are just four points behind the Flyers with three games in hand.
