Changes on the Horizon For The Islanders In Game 3

Friday night’s game is just that, Friday night’s game. The Islanders must learn from it and move on. It was about more than broken sticks. It was about puck management, clearing the zone, and taking advantage of an inexperienced goalie. The Islanders did not do much of any of those.

Coach Jack Capuano, who is usually not that demonstrative behind the bench, nearly blew a gasket in the second period. He could see a meltdown coming from a mile away. He even took a timeout, which is something he rarely ever does (and he gets chastised plenty for it.
