Giants' injury updates: Jason Pierre-Paul to have MRI on groin

PITTSBURGH -- The Giants' 24-14 loss to the Steelers on Sunday was bad enough. Losing defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul to a strained groin could prove more damaging.

Pierre-Paul was injured late in the second quarter when he was rushing the passer and crumbled to the turf in pain. Pierre-Paul walked gingerly to the locker room and didn't return. He said he is scheduled for an MRI on Monday morning.

"It's just pulled," Pierre-Paul said. "Not too many details that I know. I'll know tomorrow for sure."

Pierre-Paul said he isn't concerned about the injury, but it's too early to know if he'll be able to play next Sunday against the Cowboys.
