Cox, who played two seasons for the Giants, suffered a fractured leg last Nov. 9 in Seattle.
A seventh-round draft choice in 2013, Cox spent that entire season on the Giants’ roster. He was released on Aug. 30, 2014, signed to practice squad the following day and promoted to the active roster on Oct.
