3 Overrated New York Giants Players In 2015

The New York Giants haven't made the playoffs since they won the Super Bowl in 2011. Tom Coughlin is firmly on the hot seat this season. If the Giants want to make it back to the playoffs this year, they'll need a big performance from one of their most overrated players. Here are three overrated players on the New York Giants in 2015.

3. Dwayne Harris

Harris is a good return man, but the Giants vastly overpaid for him. A 5-year, $17.5 million contract was way too expensive. Harris won't contribute much, if anything at wide receiver. Paying a return man that much over that long was foolish. Finding return man can be done in much cheaper ways. The Giants overrated Harris by giving him the contract they did.

2. Jon Beason

Maybe it's because the Giants have constantly had a need at linebacker and anyone near league average looks like an All-Pro in comparison, but Jon Beason isn't the ideal answer for the Giants. He's a solid starter when he's healthy, but he's always battling some injury. Even when he's healthy, he's just below league average at MLB. He's better than what the Giants have had in recent seasons, but New York needs to start investing at linebacker.

1. Eli Manning

Just hear me out. Eli is a really good quarterback. He's a franchise QB. But he's had two straight down seasons and is 34. He barely made into the Top 20 QBs last season, according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required). He's still crazy-clutch, especially in the postseason. But he's not a Top 10 quarterback like many think. If he think he should be the highest paid QB, Manning is severely overrating himself.
