COSTA MESA, Calif. - The New Orleans Saints have enjoyed good days of work on the field through 16 days of training camp practices.
Day 17, which featured a joint practice session Thursday with the Los Angeles Chargers, was not one of them.
From penalties, the offensive line blowing protections and the defensive secondary often surrendering big plays down the field during team-related drills, the Saints didn't turn in a good performance.
"I didn't think we were real sharp today," quarterback Drew Brees said. "We'll go and look at the tape, and as their always is, there's always things you want to correct and work on.
